I grew up in church, and learned about Jesus. I made a profession of faith in Jesus Christ when I was 10 years old, and soon after that I was baptized.
But when I graduated from High School, I started drifting away from Church. Being sheltered from the harshness of the world by God, and by Godly parents, I didn't realize how destructive sin was.
Shortly, I no longer gave any recognition to God, and for over 15 years, I lived my life without God. My only god was myself.
I was faithful to drugs, alcohol, and my own lust. After 2 failed marriages, I hit bottom, and looking up, I realized that God was reaching down, giving me an opportunity to live life His way.
I prayed, "God, if you can do anything with my life, it's yours." The Lord Jesus Christ came into my life, forgave my sins, and changed me in a powerful way. I had power over the sin in my life. I had a purpose, a direction, and a meaning that I never even thought was possible.
That was 1995, and ever since then, God has been faithful to help me grow in the knowledge of Him.
I give The Father, and Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ all the praise and the glory that I now have a heart of compassion to love people, and to bring the Good News of the Kingdom of God, which is that even though "the wages of sin is death, ... the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."
